Engine 45

Engine 45-1 is a 1991 Pierce Lance pumper. It boast a 1500 GPM pump with a 750 booster tank. It carries 1200ft. of 5" supply line. This unit has numerous attack lines, complete Hurst system, state of the art thermal imaging camera, and is also our primary engine for Rapid Intervention to many surrounding communities. Engine 45-1 seats 10 firefighters, and runs first out on all building fires to mutual aid companies as well as cover assignments and all auto accidents.


Tac 45

Engine 45-2 is a 1989 Pierce Dash 5 man cab. The engine has a 1250 GPM pump and has a 750 gallon booster tank. 45-2 has 5 attack lines and is also equipped with all the essential BLS equipment, including oxygen, 45-2 is the primary engine that runs first out in the Borough of Parkside on all building fires, car fires, and all non-building responses such as brush fires. Engine 45-1 however runs first out on car accidents as it is equipped with vehicle rescue equipment. 45-2 also responds on all first alarm for all ALS (Advanced Life Support) calls in Parkside, and assists the crew of the medic united with life saving care.


45-7
Medic 45-7 is a 2003 Horton Type III ambulance on a Ford Chassis. The unit has on-spot chains for bad weather situations, LED warning light package, rear back- up camera and a dual operating control panel in the patient compartment. Medic 45-7 is the station's primary response apparatus for Advanced Life Support calls and is staffed 24/7 with a combination of personnel from Crozier Chester Medical Center and Parkside Fire Company. Primary ALS protection is provided to the boroughs of Upland and Brookhaven in addition to Nether Providence and Chester Townships. Mutual aid is provided to the City of Chester on an as needed basis.


45-7A
Ambulance 45-7a is also a 2003 Horton Type III ambulance on a similar chasis with identical options to the medic unit. 45-7a is the station's primary response unit to Basic Life Support calls. The unit is completely staffed by volunteer personnel of the Parkside Fire Company. The unit carries an AED for cardiac patients.
