RIT 45 Keeping Busy

This week Rit 45 has responded to 3 working assignments.

The First Rit assignment was Tuesday evening just as the members were sitting down for our general company meeting Chester 11 ( acting B/C Iacona) requested the 2nd alarm assignment to the city of Chester, Bring companies 45 (RIT), 65 (Ladder), 52 (Air Bank). Both Tac45 and Engine45 respond within seconds with a staffing of 9, crews arrived on scene and set-up for rit until all crews were pulled out and the job went into defensive mode, Engine 45 laid about 500' and LDH to Tower82 and supplied them for approximately 2 hours, Tac45 returned available with in an hour with no services needed.

The 2nd Rit assignment was struck out to assist the City of Chester again this time around 4am, Tac 45 hit the street with a staffing of 4 right away, and arrived and set-up in front of the building crews performed there 360 of the building, City units had the fire knocked down with in minutes of our arrival and before the arrival of the rest of the second alarm assignment, the remainder of the 2nd assisted them with overhaul, TAC45 remand on scene for approximately an hour an a half no services were needed.

The 3rd Rit assignment came about 1230 hours on Friday to assist Sta 47 on the working fire on Bethel road crews arrived and reported fire showing from division two Rit39 ended up arriving as the first due engine and went in service 47 command 47-9 requested them to be replaced which brought Rit45 in, Tac 45 responded with a staffing of 4 and arrived and set-up and established the rit command rit 23 arrived and was assigned to the rear of the building on the B/C corner. no rit services were needed, command had the Rit stand down and move over into the manpower pool to assist in overhaul. TAC45 returned in just under 2 hours.
